First of all I want to say that I haven't been too impressed with the SAW movies, I think the first one had a great twist at the end and great kill scenes but to me it ripped off Se7en too much and the second just didn't seem to be anything but a non stop torture scene, but on that I have to say this is my favorite of the three. |

This movie ties up the other two perfectly and explains a lot of odds and ends that the watcher may or may not have known or understood, like myself. I mean they even go far enough to explain every detail that brings us to the set of the first movie, which I liked a lot. Also there are great scene transitions in this movie too, switching from one set to the next as if they are both in the same room and what not, which is very creative. Ok so anyways we have Jigsaw, or John, played by Tobin Bell (who played Ted Kaczynski in the made for TV movie Unabomber: The True Story) as our ever loving sicko, McGuyver type killer Jigsaw, and if you haven't had a chance to see SAW II I hate to break it to you kids, Jigsaw has cancer, so now bedridden and dying he asks for the help of his young, attractive, mentally insane niece Amanda, played by Shawnee Smith (Wes Craven's Carnival of Souls, The Blob (1988 version), and the TV show Becker), to kidnap doctor Lynn Denlon, played by Bahar Soomekh (Crash) to help save his ass from dying. Of course in order to do so she has to be convinced it's in her best interest to do the surgery that will keep him alive, so Amanda puts a harness around her shoulders with five shotgun shells cocked and loaded pointing right at her head. Will she keep him alive or will she give them the bird and walk out? I guess you'll have to watch. Boob Count: 1, on a sexy corpse-cicle. Other: a sick maggot infested pig slop bath, skilled inner warehouse brain surgery, and one "twisted" kid killer Jay Decay's rating: |
