The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
2011
Reviewer: Torrence Fallen
Director: David Fincher
Cast: Daniel Craig, Ronney Mara, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright

Ready for an fast paced who done it, thrilling, mystery? Buy your ticket, get your seat and travel to Sweden for a 2.5 hour adventure. We take a journey through some traumatic scenes of rape and revenge. We gasp and we cheer. The scraps and the screeches used to heighten and intensify these scenes, provided us with a hauntingly wonderful soundtrack from the talented Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Daniel Craig stars as a Swedish journalist who seizes the escape from a highly publicized libel suit and into something new. Christopher Plummer, as the retired CEO of a large corporation, summons Craig to a remote island where he and members of his family live more than comfortably yet estranged. Plummer wants Craig to document the family's history, but the focus of his investigation turns to the disappearance of Plummer's grand-niece 36 years earlier. As the case grows more complicated, Craig brings on an unconventional but brilliant research assistant in Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), a young woman tormented mentally and physically by her horrific experiences within the social system.

This movie is based on the The Millennium series, a series of bestselling novels originally written by the late Stieg Larsson (1954-2004). We can expect the remaning books in this series to be worth the price of the ticket and then some!
